To All Who Did Receive Him

He came into the world that he created, but the world did not receive him. Instead, he was rejected. We esteemed him not. We regarded him stricken and afflicted. Do you struggle with fears of rejection? Have you expereinced what it is like to not be accepted. So has Jesus. By the very world he created.

But he was rejected so that we might be received. To those who received him he gave the right to be children of God - not children born of natural descent or made so by the strength of their own effort (the will of the flesh) or any contrived approach (the will of man). We are made children only by the gracious will of God. (Received by the one rejected in our place!) He gave you the right to be made sons - and if sons, then heirs to the promise! You are no longer a slave.
